MATTA Fair

MATTA Fair 2008 is held from 14-16 March at the Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur. It is a twice-a-year expo where travel agents get to sell air tickets and tour packages at some ridiculously low price. The second fair will be held somewhere around mid of October. Entrance fee is RM3 for adults. There is no charge for children below the age of 12.

My friend want to have a look, so i accompanied him to the fair yesterday afternoon. As usual, the venue full of peoples who are trying to find some attractive bargains and great value packages. So we also walk around and searched for some nice deals. Most European and American destinations are about RM3,000. Egypt and Turkey are about RM 4,000 plus. Asia region tours are mostly around RM2,000 except South East Asia countries, there are more cheaper. Hmm... Overall, this time MATTA Fair package prices are slightly higher than the MAS travel fair which just over last month. But anyway if you search hardly, there will also be some very cheap tours too.

After spending about 2 hours there, my friend finally managed to find a very cheap air ticket that make him almost laid down the deposit to fly his ass to Taipei. Although need to via Hong Kong, it's considered disgustingly cheap at RM1150 return. About RM300 cheaper than the other booths offer.
