Went to the Wong Kok Char Chan Teng at Leisure Mall on yesterday night with a group of friends. One of my friends want to go to pasar malam beside Leisure Mall which is held on every Friday night, so we choose to dinner at Wong Kok. More convenient and easy access. But finally we don’t go to pasar malam due to raining, it’s wet everywhere and not many stalls were opened.
The Leisure Mall branch is not yet renovated, so it’s still the old layout. I ordered Silvergold XO Rolls and Cold Coconut Milk Tea as my dinner menu. As the name implies, it’s a roll consists of “cheong fun” and chicken floss, which is wrapped with a fried egg crepe roll and with XO sauce inside. Food tasted not bad. Price consider reasonable. While having our dinner, we small talk and gossip there about 2 hours before making our way back home around 12am.
MATTA Fair 2008 is held from 14-16 March at the Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur. It is a twice-a-year expo where travel agents get to sell air tickets and tour packages at some ridiculously low price. The second fair will be held somewhere around mid of October. Entrance fee is RM3 for adults. There is no charge for children below the age of 12.
My friend want to have a look, so i accompanied him to the fair yesterday afternoon. As usual, the venue full of peoples who are trying to find some attractive bargains and great value packages. So we also walk around and searched for some nice deals. Most European and American destinations are about RM3,000. Egypt and Turkey are about RM 4,000 plus. Asia region tours are mostly around RM2,000 except South East Asia countries, there are more cheaper. Hmm... Overall, this time MATTA Fair package prices are slightly higher than the MAS travel fair which just over last month. But anyway if you search hardly, there will also be some very cheap tours too.
After spending about 2 hours there, my friend finally managed to find a very cheap air ticket that make him almost laid down the deposit to fly his ass to Taipei. Although need to via Hong Kong, it's considered disgustingly cheap at RM1150 return. About RM300 cheaper than the other booths offer.
I went to watch movie with my friends at Pavilion on last Saturday night. Hmm... maybe it's election's day, many peoples scare to come out because of the rumors that will be a chaotic state, so Bukit Bintang area appears to be quite quiet and so do the cinema. Only half of the seats were being occupied.
The film is set in the prehistoric era. The outline is about a hunter loses his woman to an evil warlord, so he gathers together a massive army to cross the wilderness fighting all manner of man and beast to find a lost civilization and mount a daring rescue.
Hmm... as for my opinion, overall it's quite a flat, dull, and boring adventure. But they do have a very nice visual effects and sound especially at the end part where the construct of the pyramids were shown. The mammoths and sabertooth are awesome whereas the giant birds are very terrifying.
Few things are not so logic in the film. First is the Yaghal speak English. But if they don't speak in English, audiences will confuse as nobody will want to read the subtitles with all the actions going around. There was no such sophisticated structures nor civilizations in 10,000 b.c. Er... if i am not mistaken, the sumerians were the first civilization and they were inhabited at Mesopotamia. Huh? I thought pyramids were built by the Egyptian but not peoples from Atlantis??
But anyway, i think this movie is just meant to be visually entertaining. So i guess it meets that purpose. And it's just a movie, this isn't some sort of base history setting that want audiences to learn the history.
This week seems to be quite a busy week for me. Occupied with all the trainings. Only get 1 day off in between. Monday training, Tuesday briefing, Wednesday off (haha), Thursday and Friday safety training again. Some more got exam after the training. So scare and tension as the passing mark is 90 out of 100!! Oh my god!! Need to study til late night then the next day have to wake up at 6.30am as my home is far from Academy. So tired cause i am a person very lazy to wake up early. Hehe.. Plus the traffic is terrible jam especially near Bandar Tasik Selatan and Sunway Toll as i am using Kesas Highway. The class start at 8.30am. Although i wake up 2 hours early, i still late for the class. Hehe.. Luckily the instructors didn't blame anything. :p
With all the study, i pass the exam finally. Few nights hard work study luckily not going to waste, although feel very 'the' sleepy during the class especially after lunch. :p Beside those the mandatory safety courses, this year the instructors also talk about the Malaysian Hospitality campaign.
This is a newly launched global branding campaign and slogan that is related to the brand's new look. That is a thrust and that is the constant reminder to treat everyone as a guest. Because.. This is MH. This is Malaysian Hospitality.
